An immersive and interactive performance designed to engage the audience in a playful yet thought-provoking exploration of Franz Kafka’s Metamorphosis. Upon arrival, each visitor receives a handcrafted mask made from a simple craft bag and cardboard, uniquely decorated with illustrations of various insects. These masks serve as both a symbolic transformation and a tangible connection to Kafka’s themes of alienation, identity, and metamorphosis.
As the performance unfolds, the audience is invited to participate in a collective movement sequence—an absurd yet liberating dance inspired by the exaggerated, awkward, and instinctual gestures of insects. Guided by the performers, participants explore the physicality of these creatures, embodying their clumsy, jittery, or rhythmic movements. This lighthearted yet deeply metaphorical experience fosters a sense of shared transformation, dissolving barriers between performers and spectators while immersing everyone in Kafka’s unsettling yet fascinating world.
