Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 -1827)

An die Ferne Geliebte; op.98

Charming as the tunes may be, these six songs are tautly organized into the first of the great Romantic song cycles.

The composition is regarded as autobiographical in meaning, and the subject is the composer's longing to be none other than the «unsterbliche Geliebte» - the Immortal Beloved of his letters.

Author of the textx: Alois Isidor Jeitteles.

Kim Sargsyan (baritone); Marine Karoyan (piano)
